Bobbo.
Hi, I would like to know your thoughts on the .22 Hornet. Bob.
wymberley
Hi, Although I use 223, my shooting oppo has an Anschutz. It's a cracking bit of kit and providing you shoot within 200 yards, its superb for fox. You are a bit restricted with home-loads but shop bought rounds are not too expensive. It (well, his is) is deadly accurate and long range rabbit is no problem. Cheers

njc110381
I got rid of my .223 to buy my Hornet. It's a very mild round which is good for Fox out to 200 yards+. It can't do the ranges that the bigger CFs do, but if you don't want to shoot at silly ranges it's great. If you've got any specific questions about the calibre then PM me, I'll be happy to advise you as best I can
Rem223
It wouldn't be my first choice if it was my only gun. They are nice as a niche rifle, but given the aggravation of getting a variation in the UK if it was my only rifle I would get a .223 and have say a 17HMR as a second rifle. They are slightly cheaper to run than a .223 and you get a lot of shots out of a pound of powder. However if you are out with it and need to make a long shot at 200+ yds it has it's limitations.
