maddog546
Toggi or Kudu as they are called,£49 ,6 years ago and still going strong, nice deep tread that doesnt seem to wear at all, only hope I can get another pair when they eventually wear out, good thick neoprene lining so only a single pair of ordinary socks needed and no cold feet. ollie
I got a pair of Cabella boots for xmas last year. They are camo boots and although each boot weighs 1.2kg they are excellent. The ex bought them off Cabellas own website and I think they cost about $70. Very good value. The weight will tone your leg muscles too
ziplex
I dont think so...Aigle are french,Hunter are still based in scotland.......Hunter do a black contractors welly called 'Argyle'....They are very different Boots indeed....We've had loads of hunters back for refunds..........There regarded as a cheap option now.....Not got the status they had 10/15 years ago...Aigle do some outstanding wellies for the price...There Iso parc vario has full length gusset,4mm neprene and vibram sole for £100...Very good value... Can you still get Torlundy's? best boot i've had, like wearing slippers I give mine a right pasting and there still going strong.
danccooke
I got myself a pair of Musto Buckden boots. Hell they are the bee's knees. lucky I have a mate who works for Musto and got me a great deal as I wouldn't have paid £300 for a set of boots but...... I now shoot in them, walk the dog, I can ride in them, English and western style, I go fishing in them and at weekends they are under my jeans the whole time they are sooooooo comfy. My other boots are Lowa Combat got them 4 years ago still going strong £150 i think they are. well worth the money. Luckily my Musto's were mega cheap. Not helpful post really more of a look at me in my new boots sorry
Marcus
I bought some neoprene lined wellies for £49 from Gary Evans fishing shop Cardiff in 2003 cant remember the make, very comfy and warm, will last this year but will need to be replaced next year. Will look at paying a bit more next year i think.Cheers Aled Now theres a name I have not heard in a long while, spent many hours in that shop On the boot front, ive been looking around and looked at quite a few recently and im going for a pair of Meindl Burma in the sales. Feel very nice on, looks very well made, and those who have had Meindl's seem to give them a glowing report.
Ray
Had many boots over the years haven’t got an allegiance to any. But I think if you’re going for wellies the Aigle Parcours ISO’s are as good as the equivalent la Cham’s but a lot cheaper. Which ever you go for get the full length zip version, literally transforms getting the thing off and on. Mole valley farmers are doing the zipped parcours for under £120. As for normal boots I have come full circle started with Timberland classics back in the eighties and had just about everything since. Just gone back to Timberlands, for my feet I don’t think anything compares for comfort, longevity and price £130 for a boot that’s so waterproof it’s literally submersible …Fantastic things!
