morris33
air arms tx200hc or weihrauch hw97k i have looked at lots of reviews of both these rifles and still just cant deside they seem to be very evenly matched i was just wondering what peoples views on both rifles are and pros and cons of both they seem to be about the same cost Edited November 20, 2009 by morris33

ziplex
I had a TX200hc for a little while and found it very heavy, have you picked either up? Just a thought as I couldn't get on with it.
dillieboy
I have had both and the 97k is the better rifle though heavy superb for bunnies especially with an ox spring.
sjburgon
Dont buy either until you have joined a shooting club....."best move i ever made" You will get lots of really good advice from really friendly people who are impartial not like the guys in the gun shops who know which guns have the best profit margins..... most members will just offer you a go with there guns and you will get to try the whole range of springers and pcp's before you buy ... our club has a collection of members guns as well which means you can see if you get along with a gun for a week or two before you buy..... PS.... if you do buy a TX get the carbine its much better balanced than the classic...
here iam
I have had the Tx200 hunter carbine well made british yes they are on the heavy side but probabley one of the best spring rifles ever built they are very accurate when zeroed with a good quality scope.i have shot loads of bunnies and pigeons with this set up
George1990
I have a TX200. Brilliant gun. And Made in Britain (mostly) unlike the Weihrauch Very smooth firing and very nice trigger on it. Have noticed that my MkII is smoother and quieter than my dad's newer MkIII. YROCK
I have both, not much between them, both excellent springers. The HW has a easier loading port.Out of the box,the tx is slightly smoother but overall the HW would get my vote...just
Ali-C
I have had both and the 97k is the better rifle though heavy superb for bunnies especially with an ox spring. It'll be far better with a V-Mach or Maccarri kit in it....... .....Or a biro spring for that matter.
