Piebob
hi looking to do my first shoot could you tell me how much it will cost me for the day and where and when they are ,am new to shooting so very keen to go as much as poss tREVOR If you get another 5 guns and agree to share the cost of the day, and agree to shoot 150 birds then it'll cost each person £500. £20 per bird x 150 birds =£3000 for a 150 bird day. Divide that by the 6 guns = £500 each. Then you'll need £20 - £30 for the keeper's tip. Or you could buy the 150 bird day yourself for £3K, and invite Piebob and a few others from the forum as a special treat to them. Second option sounds much better, I think you'll agree, yes? al4x
unusual number of guns, on this kind of day its best to go with mates you trust and you know how they shoot. There is nothing worse than going on a paid day and having a greedy gun with you who just sets out to shoot as many as possible. We had a day where we were after 150 and had over 100 after two drives one gun out of 8 accounted for about 45 of them and they weren't the best birds. Needless to say didn't go with that group again
