Salop Matt
We are looking at a suzuki jimney and recognise the issue of the small boot and are curious what others do about taking there dogs in the back of there jimneys ? I am thinking the way around this is by dropping the back seat and making a mesh to keep them in the back and using a boot liner in the rear ! The dogs are both terriers. So what do you do jimney owners do ? also any pics would be most appreciated !

stubby
no picture at moment, but Ive used 2"x2" mesh, and made a slim crate, to the measurements of one seat folded up, still gives me enough room for ferreting gear/ferrets etc, and still gives the JRT ample space, thats in a suzuki vitara
Salop Matt
Many thanks stubby , if you could get me a photo that would be good ! The idea I have counjoured up in my mind is to get a sheet of thick ply (15+mm) and drop the seats. Cut the ply to the shape of the rear space, the ply will lie ontop of the folded down seats and then use some 3inch squar battons as legs across the front as legs to allow for the steped up height of the seats. I will carpet cover the ply and make a bulk head mesh to keep the dogs in the rear !
mr lee
Not a jimney but a SWB viatara I have. Boarded all the rear out after removing the seats. I can get a whole days shooting gear in here for two of us and a few boxes of clays which seem to live in the rear...
