molecatcher
Just had a walk round my mates sprout crop and noticed pigeon feeding. Any advice on the best way to decoy on this crop as the sprout plants stand 2 foot high and pigeon land between the rows of plants feeding on the bottom of the plant. Spaniel
Forget the pigeons just get some sprouts xmas is coming I would just set the decoys up in a U pattern as best as possible myself as the birds will see this from up high as they come in.. Dont forget the sprouts
Cookiemonsterandmerlin.
Cut some 3 foot long hazle sticks to lift the deeks above the sprouts. Regards OTH
chrispti
Rotary on slow, flappers on long sticks just above the crop and/or a few bouncers
activeviii
tape the sticks from your decs on to bamboo canes. 10p from garden centre. keep them for the summer for the standing wheat/barley. Phil.
Greenhunter
If you've got shell deeks rest them on top of the plants in usual pattern to start, although I wouldn't be surprised if a more haphazard set-up worked better, and then use floaters or bouncers if you have to. Good luck! Gh
molecatcher
Thanks for the tips. Went today put a couple of floaters up on sticks over the top of the sprouts and a some on the deeks on the ground. Had a good few hours and 10 pigeons in the bag. Once again thanks for the help gents.
