Peter De La Mare
Is there something wrong with the crossing at this time of year? :look: I can't recall having to use it.
willy1
There's always something wrong with the crossing, traffic backing up for up to 8 miles on the Essex side, and up to 5 miles on the Kent side, that's on a good day.About time the crossings were free,as promised when they had paid for themselves(which they have many times over!!) :look:
Peter De La Mare
Luckily I've only been caught once in a queue northbound. Queue was back to junction 3. I only ever join the southbound route from the A13 so that handy little slip road takes you right to the base of the bridge. I guess I've used that crossing 20 times this year..... and the application form for the Dartford Tag is still sat on my desk waiting to be filled in and sent off.... that's going to be my new year resolution. willy1
Even if you have a Tag it doesn't speed things up,well, perhaps by 10secs,I have a free pass through because of being disabled, and the barrier raises automatically, but, you still have to wait in the queue, which i've seen out to jn 5 !! Peter De La Mare
I realise that, but each trip over/under is 50p cheaper with the Tag. I can barely contain my rage when handing over £1.50 to the unsmiling disinterested ****. At least with the Tag I'll 'only' pay £1 and not need to have any contact/lower window/grimace. The junction 5 queue must have been fun! Edited December 22, 2009 by Peter De La Mare
Bigweed
Went to Dartford this morning for a bit of practice (badly needed) - was empty, no problems on M25 and bridge was running freely. Anyone out boxing day Edited December 24, 2009 by Bigweed
Peter De La Mare
How'd you get on at Dartford? Has any of the stands changed?
Bigweed
Not to bad - just sorting out a few issues like trying to hit something. Stands different to lastr time I went. Some easy some a bit testing.
Peter De La Mare
Ya, that particular issue is an important one to sort out. Still doing that silly "gun up" thing? We'll sort it for you at High Lodge
