After reading the previous posts i'm very confused,so much so i've decided to forgo the FAC air rifle and am going to buy a catapult instead. Perhaps I shouln't have said that,it may develope into a discussion about different elastics and weight of missiles affecting trajectory. :lol: Seriously.i'm following this 'discussion' with interest. It seems that the best zero is around 50 yards? What would be the maximum distance to shoot and be sure of a clean kill? Sorry for the questions,but,i'm more used to firearms,and know little about modern pcp air rifles.So, it's a BIG learning curve for me. Alan

I'm in the process of getting a Bsa .22 Super 10 FAC (28ft/lbs) air rifle for use around horse and sheep (the land owner will not allow rimfires for some reason),my questions are,which pellets?,I already have Bisley Pest Control,and what range should I set the zero at? Thanks in advance. Alan

IMHO if you are thinking of .204 then reloading is the way to go,factory ammo (IF you can find it)is expensive compared to reloading,I reload for my .204 for around 35-40p per round, 100 V-Max 32gn bullets are £19.99,primers 3.5p,and powder about 8p,cases have paid for themselves AFTER tha first firing. Tony, when I rang in the beginning of this month (February) I was advised that they were just starting Octobers paperwork,so you'll be very fortunate to get it back in two months. Also,each person had at least 5 toybox sized cases to deal with. that's how bad it is with Kent firearms at the moment,and it can only get worse,so much so I've not even attempted to put in for another variation as I ran out of ammo last time round.
