Cranfield
I went out for a look around Friday and Saturday afternoon , I didn,t see much. A few birds moving around, not many on the rape or wheat stubbles, just a few ferals and doves. Where have they gone ? What are you finding ? Guest Keith
Quite a few in my area on rape and barley stubbles no wheat has been cut yet as we are that bit later up here.Birds are not easy to pin down on one field as there are so many rape stubbles around will have to wait until the farmers start ploughing. tim
its very patchy around here , i shot a fifty yesterday on barley stubble and it was raining most of the day , today on a different field of barley stubble 8, for the last 3 days they have been on it from first light till noon today nothing. had a look at a cut wheat field 20 + this morning about 80 this afternoon and guess wot ,the baler arrives and the slurry spreader is following after and then found out its crossed by 3 footpaths and all used heavily and all in the best spots
