il will be fishing on lakes where the fish go up to the 20lbs maybe 30 but there are mostly small fish this will be on a day ticket and i caught the 13lb on 8lb line and bread as it ws on the surface

the harvest is still a long way off the first thing to be cut will be the rape and that aint been sprayed off so its still 3 weeks away and the barly is to be cut after the rape

my mate had a gun like that which could be pumped up on to a fac and it fired small shells which where see through

well the rain has brought some of the corn and the pigeons have benn hitting it hard . is that the same in your area and have you had any good bags also the rape will be cut in 3 weeks so the rape stubble will be good to

while there cutting the rape it is well worth following the cobime with a gun due to the fact that rabbits love it and so do foxes last yaer i had 80+ out of a 50acer field but take sun cream with you coz you get well burnt

theres a few on the rape but nothing worth setting up due to the fact that its so high. the rape is usally the 1st crop to cut at around august/july

i always have my left eye closed never shoot with both eyes open

ive only ever shot 2 (only shot at 4) but ive heard of peolpe shooting them at 350 yards with a 308

went up the local rookery early shot 13 with the air rifel (had to go run out of pellets)but the yong rooks can already fly had to wait for them to fly back

hope the fishings better than the pigeons shooting your getting at the moment because where i am its poor

went oput on sat on rape (half ther field was yelloow but the other half was not where the pigeons had hit it hard in winter and it was also shorter some places under 1 ft) moved a few birds off the firld when i arrived but ended the day with 2 1jackdoor and 3 rooks

i got 21 a rook and a jackdoor on rape on sat started of in one field but saw 300+ on a field in a distance so went there shopt a few but they never came back in great numbers only 1s 2s

went badly. got there at about 9am and set up probly about 50 on the field.after a few mins some came back but not in great numbers shot 6 5rooks 1crow and 2 jackdoors was there till 5pm the birds just went on to another firld about 1/2 mile away(could see them with my eye) but there you go IM going to try the other field on sat (rape) aas it has not bin shot this year

i went out today to bulid a hide for saterday on some rape i dont the same a few weeks and ago and have left it there eversince.but today i moved it 30yards up the hedge i found that the pigeons were not as wary as usal becuase the hide had been there for a few days

i shoot over 2000 acers on the farm they usally grow peas but this year there not. so what will the pigeons feed on? or will they go elsewhere to other farms where they have peas. we do have rape and all the drillings are up can you help?

its just that the land owner dont like them he must think there a bit unfair on the birds
