digger
just been mooching around in the garden and amazed (**** scared) at the amount of garden spiders.webs everywhere, one wall of my house is a shimmer of them.all the same type of spider (big and scary) they do a mad "vibrating" movement when anything is waved near them.i assume that its a defense mechanism ? sat in my favourite chair and watched baby spiders absail from their nest.thank god for grolsch or i would be a nervous wreck.wife went out for a meal last week and being the big brave hunter gatherer that i am i spent nearly an hour on the kitchen table waiting for her to return and remove a spider the size of a dinner plate.threw both my trainers at it,they bounced off.called the dog and she was as scared as me.dog actually trod on the spider and it still got up and looked at me.even the lure of a fridge full of beer and fags two feet away couldnt get me down.then the good lady comes home, takes three photos, scoops up spider and LETS THE ****** GO :yp:

Cranfield
It seems to have been a very good year for spiders. We have been noticing some very large specimens parading about in the evenings. I think its time to stop feeding the cat. :yp:
Country_est
Its not the evening I worry about its when I take to dogs out in the morning, end up covered in the spider webs as they are draped from trees on either side of the path ways. Just shimmering in the morning dew, quite pretty, just reminding me the season for killing will be here soon. Unlike the guys up north there are still famillies picnicing in the sun on the foreshore down here, so it needs to get a bit colder and darker of the birds to come this far south, plus the pheasants will be out soon. :yp:
