groach1234 Posted January 3, 2010 Report Share Posted January 3, 2010 Well i took the dogs for a quick walk as the sun was just setting with a glorious pink spreading across the sky, now this was one of those walks when you wish you had a gun trust me. I popped off to one of our fields just behind the house that is maybe just over 1km long and 200m wide with a dike running up 2 sides of the rectangle. anyway i sent off and for the first time in this field a teal took off from the dike then a few hundred yards further down the first snipe i have seen on our land then another one maybe 50m further down then a woodcock and finally one more snipe then walking around a bit more i could not believe it 7 more teal took off heading away then swung back around to come straight over me then 50m further down another 8 i could not believe my eyes so much wildlife on such a small stretch i think i may head out with my gun over the next few days. a great walk all round.
