What mp3 player have you bought her and is it new or secondhand?

If you want to take cd's you allready have and make them into mp3's you need a program to "rip" the tracks and convert them to mp3 format, lots of free ones on the net google for mp3 ripper.

Next you need to get these tracks onto the player itself. Normally this is either by a cable that plugs into the player and into your computer via a usb lead or some of the players such as the ipod shuffle plug into the usb socket themselves as they are just like a usb memory stick.

Once it is plugged in and you have loaded the software that came with the player (hopefully) then the software allows you to manage you audio collection and transfer the songs you want onto the player and also delete ones you no longer want on the player.

The software may also allow you to create playlists of your favourite songs etc...

Instead of software most players also appear as a removable drive in windows explorer once plugged in so you can just drag and drop tracks onto the drive and they are uploaded to the player.

Thats about all I can say without knowing more details on the player you have bought.

Cheers,

Ben
