henry d
Why not do what me and my mate did a week ago, wander around the farms that you have permish for and see if there are any places(or in some cases, fields)where the combine is ancient and loses a lot of ears or where they cut it late andtherefore lost a lot on the ground. Woodpigeon love these areas and will concentrate their efforts on gleaning the spilled grain over the winter(dependant on the beech etc.) We spent a pleasant aftrenoon shooting and ended up with 69 woodies and 6 scuts and a hare that was just too tempting :( If we had done our reccy a bit better we would have found that there was also a corner that was being used while we were shooting and could have split it so we didn`t have to share the shots. An hours reccy is worth it`s weight in gold. Best of British mate. Edited September 14, 2005 by henry d
