Friendly Sporting Shoots near Bristol

Can anyone recommend any good sporting clay shoots within 30-40 minutes or so from Bristol? If you have comments on layouts, prices, and quality of bacon sandwiches I would be grateful.

Also, if anyone knows of a similarly located shooting ground when you can go practice on your own with delayed or voice activated traps that would be good too.

Thanks! :good:

Thanks Ziplex - I was wondering about going down to Mendip to look at some guns.

Thanks Windknot - for the tip on Woodspring.

Anyone know of anything north of Bristol too, easy access to the M5?

There was a guy on here sometime ago inviting guns to a clay shoot near Chipping Sodbury, (very informal/every fortnight if I remember right).......I can't remember his name but i'll have a go at searching and let you know if I can find him!, unless someone knows of him in the meantime??

Sod it...........looked and looked but couldn't find the post!

Cowboy1403 was going to set a clay shoot, not sure if this was open to anyone drop him a PM

There is a shoot at (Sunday fortnightly) Siston common, one up by the Shoe (Valley shoot) on the Chippenham road and there is another (Think its Saturdays) where you come off the services at chippenham on the M4 but then travel down the slip road to the other side of the motorway and its there some where, but i have never been myself.

Then you have Mork over near Chepstow which was always a good layout and more importantly they have a cabin selling tea and bacon sandwiches
