  1. I have 500 .308, 500 .223, 500 hmr and 1500 .22lr on my ticket. To max it out though would cost about £1,500!
  2. I know a couple of people with them and they are very pleased with them. I've been thinking about getting a pair for myself.
  3. sorry, managed to post in the wrong topic. Damned phone!
  4. I've used mine as id at a bank and my dad has used his when catching a flight up to Scotland as his passport was away for a visa.
  5. A change in conditions is different to a variation so you shouldn't have to pay for it.
  6. Just got this reply from my MP, Richard Benyon (Conservative) Thank you for contacting me about the Hunting Act 2004. I appreciate the strong feelings that many people have on this issue. I am aware that, in the last Parliament, a cross-party alliance of MPs and farmers’ groups called for an amendment to the Hunting Act to allow more than two dogs to be used to flush out a fox. The Prime Minister supported this amendment, but there was no agreement between the governing Coalition parties, which would have been necessary for it to be brought before the House. The Prime Minister has said that a majority Conservative Government will give Parliament the opportunity to repeal the Hunting Act on a free vote, with a government bill in government time. In the event of such a vote, I would vote to repeal it. In my judgement the Act has done nothing to protect wild animals and, in many cases, has actually been detrimental to animal welfare when other methods of control are deployed, several of which can be indiscriminate. I do appreciate that many people have strongly held views about hunting. I respect this and that is why the issue has been subject to a free vote for many years. Thank you again for taking the time to contact me. Yours Sincerely Richard Benyon MP
  7. I have an ASE ultra on mine which I find very good. Have a predator wildcat on the .223 which I also think is good but the ASE seemed to balance the rifle better. Tried all the ones in the shop for length and balance
  8. The most memorable dish I've had was rabbit and tarragon pudding that I had at my wedding. I'd shot the rabbits and dropped them off to the chef the day before. I didn't know what he was going to do with them but it was really good. My wife won't eat rabbit so she had something different, that obviously wasn't memorable as I've no recollection of what it was. Also, the same chef did rabbit kebabs which were excellent and I have done at home loads of times. Cubes of rabbit marinated in a thick, sweet soy sauce (can't remember what it's called, I think it's Malaysian as he is), garlic and lime juice then barbecued.
  9. I used to do the same, it's surprising how long these people will try and talk to a babbling 2 year old! In the end I got fed up with it as we were getting loads ever day so I changed the telephone number.
  10. Prvi sp and Remington HP gave the best groups in my .223, no difference except the big one in price. The .308 though didn't like them at all though. Sako 150 gr and winchester 150 gr work but I was hoping the prvi do the job.
  11. I also prefer them to rabbit and have bbq'd them whole and made them into burgers. I was surprised how much meat you get on them. There was just under 8 oz on the last one I made into burgers.
  12. I have my guns on my household insurance policy. None of the are worth more than the single item limit, but if you add the scope, rings etc then it would be. I checked with them if each of these were considered to be single items on their own or because they were boleted together the over all set up was a single item. They came back and said that each peice was an item by itself so came within the limit on my policy therefore didn't need to be quoted on the policy.
  13. I got one a couple of weeks ago with the .22. Made a nice burger. 802
  14. When I was a student away from home I got my SGC and used my parents address as my permanent address. When I started work and was renting they were happy for me to keep my parents address as my permanent address as well. I only changed it when I bought my first house and then bought my first gun.
  15. I was also told to make sure that I stay hydrated so that stools are easier to pass and you're not putting unnecessary pressure on the colon and make the diverticuli worse by forcing the muscles.
