Safe shooting?

I spotted this video of some long range shooting posted on Youtube and wondered if I am the only one who thinks shooting over the heads of live stock is a dubious practise. I can't fault the accuracy, but I would personally find somewhere a bit less crowded to indulge in such activity. I would have thought a target range would be a more appropriate venue.

I have shot there and believe me that rock face behind the target is over 6 foot high and the bullet will disintegrate on contact with either the target, rock face or ground, so no chance of a bullet going anywhere near to those furry little *******

It's not a ricochet I'm worried about, it's an incorrect windage reading. 1500 yards with that is a hell of a long way, and those sheep (?) could have been hit had the shot not gone to plan.

The guy is clearly a very good shot, but personally I wouldn't have taken that shot without the sheep being someplace else. As for shooting over the others, not got a problem with it.
