NorfolkBoy
HI Barraboy I've been using a 687 S/P Sporter F/C for the last five years and can't fault it. I use it for everything, clays, game and decoying and it has never let me down.....You could certainly do a lot worse.....

RAMMER BURT
keep well clear of 97-99 silver pigeons the plating is very thin on the action mine went rusty but on the plus side i did end up with a brand new gun simpsons of newmarket told me that beretta had changed the dipping process,ie trying to make the guns for less money always a bad ideal after loads of guns going back they changed the process

Big Dog
I have owned : 2 - 686s, 1 - 687 and now a - 682 The 682 is for clays. Of the other I would buy again the 682 for field work. The bigest difference between the 686 and the 687 are mostly cosmetic Im told. None the less 686 for me.
