unclemicky
Lots of half rabbits in both fenns an snares , broken snares dues to fox's , birds and hedgehogs in the live catch rat traps , had an equal share of rabbits in both fenns and snares , and I prefer to use fenns rather than snares
scolopax
Plenty of mice and voles and even a couple of moles in Fenns. A cock pheasant managed to squeeze right into a tunnel and got a nasty surprise when he pecked at the wheat on the plate. A few years back on a big arable farm the grey partridge were down to a single covey of six, five after one squeezed into a tunnel trap, defeating the object really of the pest control, luckily partridge numbers have bounced back a bit now. Took a squirrel out of the traps today, two yesterday, and three rats the day before. Safety catches now on as I am away for a few days. Most memoarable catch was my own thumb! ratman
I have caught a weasel in a mole trap and a grass snake on a line of mouse traps screwed to a plank of wood. They were in a swimming pool pump shed behind closed doors.
