RC45
I'm right handed in everything and left eye dominant. Shooting left handed does not seem right. I would have to sell my guns!

HDAV
( 1 ) Both eyes open and then shut your left eye as the gun catches the clay up and then shoot. (Gun up position)Always see the clay with both eyes open and then shut left eye as the gun hits the shoulder. (Gun down position) ( 2 ) If you can`t do this after a month then try the tape on the Len's trick. (Keep both eyes open) ( 3 ) If it`s still no good after a another month then try shooting left handed. (keep both eyes open) If your gun has very little cast on it you should be able to use it left handed but it won`t be good enough for competitions but it will give you an idea whether it works for you or not. The problem is most people give up on it too early when they just haven`t given it a good go. You need to train yourself to do it naturally which takes time. You can`t expect to go out and hit 98/100 after just a couple of months or so, it will take years.....and years. Of course if you go and have a lesson with a GOOD coach he will sort you out and tell you what you need to do. It will save you a lot of money and heart ache in the long run. Hey coach how much do you charge? Where are you? (PM me if you like) I am Righthanded Left eye dominant and my right eye is through a mix of under use and life i guess its also weaker than my left. So do i try to shoot left handed? Try to correct my eye dominance? or soemthign else at the moment i shoot right eye closed but i am struggling to see the clays (esp High and fast birds) I have a mate who is a leftie and when we both went (he has shot targets lefthanded) He struggled with the safety and release on a straight cast right hander. I think the Tape is the next thing to try How long or how many clays will it take to see if it works? I ahve been trying to speak to my local optician about the options but i just cant get to speak to her without an appoitment.... Same for me, shooting left handed just doesn't seem right. I simply close my left eye as I'm bringing the gun up
