toka_shigazu
Can antone who knows help.... i have the CZ .22lr and love it... i may be going to get a CZ .17 HMR but am wondering if the stocks are the same. I am a lefty and am wondering if they use an ambidextrous stock? If they use an ambidextrous stock is it just the difference in side for the bolt? I am just trying to work out the best possability... Dekers
Stocks are very similar to look at but ..for example.... I have been through the Style in .22lr, Silhouette in .22lr and Silhouette in HMR and the stocks for ALL 3 are different... they change them whenever they want! If you are talking compatability, ie will a .22lr stock fit a HMR action, the answer is NO....different size magazine fitting etc!!! toka_shigazu
cheers Decker!! i had noticed there was some difference. the stock on the rifle i have at the moment is very shapely but drops away sharply towards the butt end. i find that this means it doesnt fit me well...i prefer the straight back with not much difference between the top line of the rifle and the drop at the butt...horses for courses i suppose. if the CZ hmr stock is similar to my CZ .22lr american stock [ambidextrous] then i will be happy!! dont worry i wasnt thinking compatibility as you have mentioned...thanks for the reply... ATB Take a look at the CZ website, and you will find all the models available in HMR...the American is available, so too is the Silhouette, etc! http://www.czub.cz/en/Default.aspx Edited February 13, 2010 by Dekers
