lindsay
My lab bitch which is aged 18mnths is housed out side in a run with my beddy whippet. About a month ago she started to make like whinning noises during the night sounds like she is dreaming and then she will yelp, she will do this from a minute to several minutes if not longer. I had her at the vet for her booster and i asked the vet about it but she was baffled?? Her last season was December. The two dogs have been kenneled together for a year and bond well, but this noise is getting on my tits and soon someone will have there say about the noise!! So if anyone out there has herd of this or could say what or why she has started doing this it would be helpful. Cheers Lindsay

Imperfection
Dreaming mate. Why not sneak down and have a look. Bet the legs are going to. I second that. My own dog yelps, barks, growls etc complete with lots of leg twitching when he's asleep.

agusta
Maybe its too cold for her? How is she kept during the day, maybe she is bored? I would say you need to disrupt her daily and nightly routine, perhaps bring her inside for a day or two if possible.
WGD
She's dreaming, simple as that IMO.
