955i
I have been looking at getting some of the jackets for my shell decoys that are looking a bit tatty. As I believe you have to make a hole in the jacket for the peg, I was wondering whether spring pegs (with the spring at the top to give movement) will still work or whether the jackets will restrict this? Thanks in advance
Cranfield
I bought some of these a year or so ago to freshen up my shell decoys and I am very impressed. They stand out very well on the field. There have been previous threads on the subject, but I put the jackets on the decoys and then cut the jacket from the tail to the front on the underside of the decoy. I then stuck double sided carpet tape inside the decoy and stuck the cut jacket pieces to it. This means that I can still stack my shell decoys. I do know some people have cut their jackets in the same way, but stuck them on the decoys. I used double sided tape so I could take them off and replace them as necessary some time in the future.
