dave dog
Been on the gun trader, gunseeker and online guns. Seen a few Sako's s/h and new Remington's as well as i few new and s/h Tikka's at what seem resonable prices. Which would i be better lokking at the Sako's s/h or the new Remington, or Tikka's. Brougth Ruger 22.250 s/h all ok. Few of them on the web site to. But the prices of these 3 makes are all constsant between 500 to 700 pounds. What would same of you guy's do. Would like to hear views please. Dave Edited February 21, 2010 by dave dog
Pipmoff
I bought my CZ rim fire's new and my .223 and 6.5x55 were second hand Sako's. I looked at the Tikka T3's but the plastic stock and magazine put me off compared to the more solid better finished feel of the Sako's. I have friends with Tikka's and they are very accurate guns but in my opinion they are just not as nice as a Sako.
monkeymagic1969
A Sako all the way - even if you later have to re barrel it, it still will be worth more than a second hand tikka

How much better do you want or need?? If I'm honest the weak link between all my rifles is ME, they can probably all shoot better than me, and I don't generally have any issues grouping them at 1" or better! New, you get a guarantee, used, with a reputable dealer you should also get some sort of guarantee and maybe even be able to try first at some! Buying private can have issues!! From my point of view then I would go with NEW, but there is NO answer here, it's your choice and a matter of if you get lucky or unlucky!! Edited February 21, 2010 by Dekers
