I am in the process of buying a workshop that is being used by a furniture maker who is having a career change so he is looking to sell his machines, they are old and heavy unlike the new stuff which is available today.

He has a belt sander, must be about 10ft long

Large circular bandsaw ( blade is about 160" long )

Planer thicknesser

Planer

2 table saws

Spindle moulder

They have all got heavy cast iron bases

I think they are all 3 phase

He is looking for £100 each or £550 for the lot.

All to be collected in APRIL from Great Wakering SS3 ( halfway between Southend and Shoebury )

I have pics on my phone if anyone wants to see

cheaper to buy a transwave converter and the keep it 3 phase. i have done it to many time and now have learnt from it. you lost the torgue and unless paying silly money for a motor you will lose the speed control and low speed torque as well.

one transwave and run all your machine power to the unit, then just pull the plug out from one machine and plug the next in as you can only use one at a time.

best of luck with the sale.

regards

Phil.

I had a Transwave years ago and wasn't happy with it being able to run 1 machine at a time,i sold it and bought an inverter,i run a lathe / milling machine and linisher at the same time with it,much better than the transwave.

I converted my 3 phase 415 V to a 3 phase 240V to couple up an inverter. The contol it give is second to none - the torque on even 50RPM is fantastic. The higher the load the greater amps get pumped in :good:
