rushy lad
Anyone ever had permission to Ferret etc on National trust land? We have a lot here in Cumbria that hold a good population of Rabbits on them, A bloke that I used to go digging with managed to get written Permission to lamp and shoot from the trust but it was just for one year.(10 years ago at least) Anyone any advice? Rushy.

Teal
They're sometimes ok, there are a fair few national trust places which have shoots on them, but that might have been written into the terms of them having the land. They allowed fox (and stag) hunting on their land up until quite recently.
Axe
The only logical thing I can think of would be to make a clear and valid point that the rabbits are in excess and need culling for the purposes of conservation. If you show good ability and provide evidence of a need to cull, i'm sure they will have no arguement. Remember, they will be more concerned about your appearance to the public, as you would be seen as part of the trust, not just a guy with permission.
