We have a local airfield been there since before WW2 ( my dad worked in one of the hangers before

a gentleman from the Luftwaffe thought he should stop ) and a group of about a score of people who were

not born when it was first used do their level best to prevent any development and send in hundreds of letters

of complaint. Encourage wassocks from the south to come hide in trees and tunnels to prevent work

and so on you may have heard of the airfield its called

 

Manchester Airport

 

Its a bit bigger now though.
