Cranfield
Hi chris&dan, welcome, I moved you from the For Sale Forum, as I think you will get a better response to your question here. :( I have recently been experimenting with lighter load cartridges (down to 26gm), with no apparent effect on the gunshot sound. Some of my shooting is near houses and I was trying to reduce the chance of causing annoyance to the residents. There is a single barrelled, silenced 12 bore shotgun available and this was mentioned on a recent topic on the Forum. I have no experience of this gun. I shoot near horses and cattle, which is why I use fibre wad cartridges (as opposed to plastic). I find that if you are not shooting directly over the animals, they just move off to a part of the field they are comfortable in and ignore you. Hopefully, someone else may have some better information.
NGhost
I have a 12g hushpower. with subsonics it is about as noisey as a spring airgun. I am also thinking about getting a second moderated barrel for my SA from the hushpower people. The hushpower can be cheap second hand I paid 150 for mine, but it is a bit basic and only a single shot (ful choke). :(
