Frank,

A copy/paste from the CZ site, hope it's of use!!!

: "Why are CZ rifles so accurate?"

A: All CZ rifle barrels are gun drilled, reamed and lapped, then the blank is Hammer forged. After Forging, the barrel is honed in a power honing machine, this process removes any roughness which may cause copper fowling and therefore poor accuracy, this kind of attention to detail is unheard of in the gun industry today.

When you consider the price that you pay for a CZ rimfire and then compare it to a Sako rimfire, then I think it is fair to say that you are getting a great gun for the money. The Sako isn’t worth almost twice as much I can assure you….I have both and the Sako is very overpriced.

What I would love to see is a little design change with CZ where they could perhaps import (or make) a Sako type trigger unit, which could be fitted instead of that bloody awful “Drag sear” that they use.

If this could be done I daresay it would put another £40 on the price of the rifle…..and it would still be £200 cheaper than the Sako. B)

What a fabulous rimfire rifle you would have. Certainly a world beater at the price.

Thasnks fellas. B)

Bazooka Joe, thanks for link. Although it does not exactly say the bores are hand laped on the site, it does mention that it is smoothed out for less copper fouling, which is a good thing i gather.
