fixing gun cabinet

Hi, My new gun cabinet came today :good: , going to bolt in in tomorrow. Can anyone give me any info on fitting please? All the walls in our house are solid brick although the partitioning walls are single brick (don't know about the one between the two semi's). Would it be ok to bolt to one of the single brick partition walls rather than a double brick outside wall, I want to put it in an alcove by the chimney breast but away from the chimney? Also, can I use some 12mm rawlbolts I have kicking about or do I need something in particular?

TIA

Yes no problem so long as it is solid.

12mm rawlbolts will be fine mate.

I used the recommended Rawlbolts into brick - 40 minutes easy work, no problems, stayed absolutely rock-solid, even with me and the FEO yanking at it, and that was only with 4 out of the possible 6 bolts used. Don't do what a friend of mine did though, and let the drill go too deep and wobble about when drilling- the Rawlbolts were too slack in the holes and one went so deep (He is a ham-fisted ***!) it dropped into the cavity :good: Took him another 3 hours and he eventually had to used chem-fix anchors - Twit

-- Just a PS, if you want the job to look really tidy and reduce the risk of scratching the gun, get some Stainless Steel dome headed allen bolts about 60mm or so long (£2 from Fleabay) and some ****-off big Stainless Washers (about 40mm). Once you have the Rawlbolts in the holes, remove the threaded piece, offer the cabinet up and fit with the Allen bolts - a bit fiddly, but worth the effort! ;)
