you try stalking around a wood which is full of brambles and catching twigs and that thing .it would be a nightmare!

My wee spaniel does exactly that, every shoot day, at a hundred miles an hour, for hours on end! In the evening when I flake out in front of the telly and he jumps up onto my tummy to sleep, it's very therapeutic to pick all the thorns out of his skin. One night I counted thirty thorns - brambles, roses and blackthorn! Ooyah! He didn't even flinch. I remember one day at the start of the season just past, we'd just finished a drive and I was standing chatting to a bunch of other folk, with Angus at my feet. He was wet from the ditches he'd been in during the drive, and he shook himself to get rid of the water, and showered everyone around with blood! I hadn't noticed a big tear in his ear. 'Ard as nails, spaniels.

Seriously, how do your farmers react when they see you turn up with a gillie suit, balaclava, wrapped gun etc...

Because I know I wouldnt get past the drive without being called a walting-wally!!

you wouldnt turn up wearing the suit...... now that would be stupid :hmm:

you would only wear the suit if the surroundings matched .

you would put the suit on when in place..like putting up a hide..... simple

don't know about your area..but down here , all the farmers are interested in ,is getting rid of the vermin

like I said before, we all shoot differently...some like the driven bird, some like stalking..some of us like snipping and some like all :good:
