welshwarrior
I have been offered a Beretta 687 Game stock for my as I want to replace my 682 wood work. My question will a 687 game stock fit on a 682 Sporter action?
triumphant59
Yes it will providing the 687 stock is not from a really early 687, they had a slightly wider action. It will still fit but will need sanding down slightly. The other difference can be in the length of the stock bolt but I think if both guns are sporters they should be the same. If the stock is cheap enough I would buy it anyway, a nice 687 stock will make £100+ on ebay. Make sure it is from a 687 and not a 686, the latter is not shaped round the action as nicely. regards
utectok
It'll fit fine as said above just put a 682. Stock on my 686 all the 680s have interchangable stocks accept the pre 1994 ones they are wider. Remember a game stock is lighter and not as deep it will affect handling and mount slightly in my experience. I also noticed the stock bolt is longer on my game set up than on my sporting stock I packed out with washers but you might have the opposite problem ? Good luck !
