utectok
Ok guys I know many of you will say get it checked etc all very sound I'm sure but I think Im probably being a bit nurotic. If I remove the fore end I can just slide a piece of paper in the crack between the breech (fence?) and barrels. About 0.1 mm or so i guess but you can feel a slight movement. Probably 15-20k carts through the gun. What do you reckon guys and gals? Cheers Will
SSS
My aya Yeoman has gone the same way the last few times I have been out, will be interesting to hear a few responses. Is there anything I can do myself to tighten it up? All the best, SSS
vampire
You worry to much, you should see my old baikal,to say its not been looked after by previous owner,he used to leave it in back of flat bed transit with all sand etc,let everyone shoot it and guess what,......its got a bit of play in the action, nothing to worry about
Bluebarrels
I recently had the same problem with my s/s hide gun, thats fired 20k carts too,all it needed was a new hinge pin and now its as tight as the day i bought it if its loose mate, its only going to get worse i would personally get it tightened BB
utectok
Ordered an new bolt (+0.15mm) this should fix it I reckon could be fun fitting it too?!
utectok
Ok bolt came today bit of a fiddle fitting it but when it was done it is perfect. Top lever a degree or so of straight so some wear/bedding in too so it should last a bit. Absolutely no play berettas are so nice to fix and as all the 680's have interchangeable parts easy to get bits for !!! Cheers Guys. goldypurple
was that the hinge pins you replaced? if so how much were they?
beretta
when you say bolt do you mean the hinge pins on either side, as these come in 3/4 different oversize sizes.
utectok
Hinge stub pins were ok as there was no sideways play just up and down so I got part 27 from here http://www.brignoliarmi.com/catalogo.php?l...0&lingua=uk only one size up. they have stub pins too if you need some goldypurple Edited March 30, 2010 by utectok
utectok
Ohhh if you do replace part 27 you need the bolt in the open position (after removing the top lever) before tapping out the pivot then the spring and bits fly everywhere in my case but if you put a towel or something under/around it in a vice it would save a bit of wear on your knees looking on the floor!!
