vole
Just got my cert and as requested, permission for .17HMR and .22 LR for range use and for vermin. There are only 4 slots for ammo purchases. I was not planning to buy in bulk (can buy 500/hold750) but it looks like I have to unless I get a replacement licence. I buy and use ammo at the range and leave with them what I dont use so guess I still have to do that unless i have placed on my ticket. This is all new to me so what is the score with buying ammunition? Thanks.

Billy.
You might as well buy 500 at once, as they come in a convenient 'brick' of 500, so you'll make a nice saving. It'll be around £35-50 for a brick, dependant on what ammo you buy.
ace32
just buy the 500,works out a lot cheaper, and when the season kicks in fully, you be suprised how many you go through, enough room on your fac for several thousands of bullets, unless you buy a box of 50 every week,ok

Dekers
If you have a mind to, by all means buy in bulk, but I strongly suggest you buy smaller quantities to start with just to make sure your barrel likes the ammo first.
