JT1
This weekend I pick up my elderly father-in-laws Range Rover, it's a metallic bluey/grey 1996 (N) Auto 2.5 BMW diesel, DSE spec, air con, electric everything, leather, towbar, side runners. he has had it 11 years and only put 30k on the clock in that time. total on clock is 128k. Full Land Rover (Webbers/Ottons/Harwoods) service history, new battery, 6 months tax, MOT end of April. Last year he spent 1,600 having the suspension/ride height replaced. Now the not so good bits, being a country chap, inside and out is really crappy (I will get it valeted) there are superficial light scraches down it from the bushes, and a couple of small oxidation spots on the lower near side door. The radio needs looking at (he hasnt used it in 7 years) So an honest assessment of a damn good work horse with all the bells and whistles you'd expect from a 60k+ car, looking at the prices nationwide on the trader site, we would like offers around £2,600, I think that is probably a bit under but a fair price. Thanks John Edited March 13, 2010 by JT1

al4x
get it on ebay if I were you, you'll find someone like Mungler will offer you top dollar for one with a decent history like that. Its a lot of car for the money, might be worth a PM to ME especially if it has air con fitted

JT1
May just do that, it will be stored in a barn if it hangs around and may MOT as well, so in no huge rush to shift.
JT1
Just a quick update, now that I have got the car, and have made amendments to original advert, 128k miles not 136k, the alternator is fine, it turns out he hardly uses it and the battery just discharged over the cold spell. its a DSE spec not HSE. Price remains the same. Cheers
