Hi Gang.

Bought a L/f 170 variable today, it was a toss up between this and the Cluson LA10.

So hope to be out tonight giving it a testing.

Weather permitting. Will let you know what i think after a couple of outings.

I got the hand held one, as i am happy with the Max Pro on my .22lr.

But this lamp is mainly for running the dogs.

The 170 is definitely a brighter beam than the Deben Max, but it should be seeing as the lamp it that much more powerful.

Horses for courses as they say, it eats batteries quicker and tends to be a little unreliable/temperamental!! :shoot:

mine eats the wiring more than the batteries.. :good:

well it used to,till i sorted it out and find the 170 superb and very versatile with the dimmer.

cracking lamp for airguns up to centrefire and as i used to go lamping with dogs, you will find it spot on,if you use the right size battery. :shoot:

Using Lithium Ion 12v 10ah, any wiring problems my pal will sort out, he is a bit of a dab hand at most things.

But if problems persist i will get rid of it and get something else.

just watch round the dimmer and where the wires come out of the lamp.

like a said, once sorted they are a superb lamp and i would not part with mine. :good:

so does the lithium battery work well?..i bought one off the bay but,no joy from it.
