bez
hi I have recently bought my first pre-charge rifle, a BSA ultra .22. I wanted to know what pellets i should use (Mainly for rats / rabbits). At the moment i have been using AirArms hunter which i thought was a good starting point. Also any opinions on pellet lube (To Use / Not to use) Cheers Stephen
roblade
hi mate, think at the tope of the list you should have: air arms field accupell jsb exacts/ webley lazadomes/daystate ft (all basically the same) do a search on here for pellpax they do nsmaple packs of pellets so you dont have to go buying tins of them to find out which your rifle likes the best  though dont think you will be able to beat the pellets your using at the moment ROB
kip270
Pick the one's that are the most accurate, because they will all do the same job if you can put them in the right place. Check out the weights from any of the air-gun mags and try to go for 14.5-15grain pellets, these will give you a better trajectory than any of the other heavier brands. If you are doing close range rat shooting, go for the heaviest pellet that gives you the best grouping for the ranges that you intend to shoot at. SNAKEBITE
As for the lube question I do use the Logun Lube. Whether it makes any difference, well who knows but I think it helps with lubimg the barrel  It could be psychological either way! SNAKEBITE
Hi, Snakebite Snakebite Snakebite, I think you have shares in logun first the filters now the lube! What next 'The Logun Special Operations Carry-All? FM yOU WANT TO BUY ONE? I did have the Napier lube but stopped using it in my springer. Then lost it. When I went to get some more they only had the logun stuff. To be honest I think the Napier stuff was better. *****r, blown my chances of sponsorship now! henry c
If you use accupels, they are already lubed.
SNAKEBITE
If you use accupels, they are already lubed. They are very good pellets but VERY dirty when compared to Air Arms and what not. Still it's all down to the barrel, what works is what works and it is no point thinking otherwise!
