stirky Posted April 21, 2010 Report Share Posted April 21, 2010 I have used sierra 65gr gameking in my .223 for roe in jockland, these are very good bullets. That would depend on what the twist is in your barrel, if its a fast twist 1-8 or 1-9 for example then that would be fine if your rifle is a 1-12 then it probably wont stabalise that bullet weight and you will be stuck with lighter bullets 50-55gr I would advise to use the heaviest bullet that your rifle will shoot. Usually between 1-8 and 1-12 twist the .223, but individual barrels really can, and do, made so much difference, it's mad but true. For some reason I seem rather lucky that my .223 T3 Lite can shoot just about everything I have put through it from 40-75g. Others are not so fortunate I know!!
