peek-at
I have a .22cal HW90 that used to have a standard long barrel and be FAC power using Bisley Mags (21gr) Since then I have had a carbine barrel fitted and it is now 11.7ft/lbs - for use by my son I tried H&N FTT (15.1gr) but they seemed a bit inaccurate even at 30yds I know that rifles/barrels may have a certain dislike for certain pallets but can anyone tell me what the optimum weight pellet would be for this now. It will be used for rabbits/crows/woodies given half a chance...... any recommendations on brand would also be appreciated Thanks
lineshooter
RWS Superdomes seem to work well in Hw barrels not sure of the weight though.
bruno22rf
I always thought that once an air-rifle was declared as or classed as a firearm it couldnt be de-rated back to sub 12ft/lb level thus making it legal to use without a FAC? As far as im led to believe its to do with having a new barrel which has a new serial number Hence a new identity
bruno22rf
This sounds crazy to me-on that basis did the original barrel have to be destroyed by whoever de-tuned the rifle and then reported to the relevant Firearms dept?
