utectok
Yep that's right 1994 and before slightly wider. Stocks fit both though no problem!
Dekers
I'll be honest I hadn't noticed...I have a 1990, 686 Sporting Special, and a 2003 Silver Pigeon III, I'll have to get the tape measure out sometime!!
utectok
Cole guns say "Stock and forend sets for 680 series 12ga will fit ALL current 1.525" frame size 686, 687 and 682 models. (These sets do not fit the older 1.585" frame width models discontinued in 1993) The frame size is the width measured just in front of the breech across the recoil shoulders." I rang gmk and they said new stocks will fit the older actions however the step at the wood metal junction is less goes from 2mm to 1mm or there abouts otherwise it fits fine.
