MC
Morning guys, My mate Nigel and I had a sniff of some rabbit shooting recently but it turned out to be on land owned by Anglian Water. When Nigel rang up about the shooting he was told that they had a contractor who came and did the pest control and they had to have a waste disposal licence. Has anyone ever heard of this? What do you think about getting one? or is it worth the hassle? Maybe some of the professional pest controllers can answer this, do they have to have one? I may try and find out who the contractor is and see if I can do the shooting for them. I have an open ticket after all and insurance. I can't think of what else I would need. Cheers Martin

Cheers Martin I am not so sure about a waste disposal licence, but i do know a licenced waste carrier ticket is quite easy to get. I used to do some rabbit shooting on a water works for a pest control company, but when I found out how much they were paid and the principle of the fact they would'nt even give me some money for bullets I gave it the elbow. Can be good shooting though on those type of places though, loads of flat well kept grass with plenty of bunds for backstops.
MC
Cheers Rob, The manager that Nigel spoke to said they paid a small fortune to a pest control company for all their pest control and they were supposed to deal with the rabbits. I wouldn't want to get involved with all the other aspects (Rats, bees, wasps etc) but I thought it would be some good rabbit shooting for a while as they are literally hundreds there all hours of the day. MC
Thanks Unclestuffy, I will ring you when I have found out more, Highlander, I know I find the whole thing absurd, I believe it is to do with leaving carcasses around and them possibly contaminating the resevoir. Although why that should matter as most of it ends up in france
