Worcsman
Hi all, I have been trawling through your posts on and off for some time, I was lurking for a while to get info on what rifle to get for rabbiting. There are as many opinions here on which gun is best for what as there are members I used to love the taste of rabbit but havent had it for years, it used to be a regular meat in our diets as a kid. Anyway I decided on the Air Arms .177 TX200 MK3. I just took it for a test drive tonight on a few targets and gotta say I am proper impressed. I spent my former years shooting 7.62's but have to say this gun feels and looks like it means business. The shop threw in a Hawke 3-9x40 scope and although this scope doesnt cost the earth, I'm impressed with it on paper. I would be interested to get in touch with air gunners in the Tenbury Wells area and am keen to find someone to go hunting with. If anyone lives nearby and doesn't mind teaching me the finer points of air gunning please get in touch. Thanks for reading and thanks for the tips I got from lurking! Mike. Worcsman
Hi I`m in Droitwich have you your own land as mine are for me to shoot only? happy to meet up. I am a tennant near Tenbury Wells, I dont own the land. I have the permission of the Landlord to shoot the squirrals and rabbits. I'm looking for someone wise in the ways of air rifle shooting to show me the ropes.

THEINVISIBLESCARECROW
I think you'll get quite a few offers as many are local. Easier to get the Squirrels in the Autumn / winter though.

Worcsman
It felt like proper summer here today! I got one of the squirals that has been trashing my bird feeder. Only a gazillion of them left to go.
Worcsman
cheers well I would love to meet up. My landlord isnt to pleased I have shot a pheasant and has asked me not to shoot over his land anymore. To be fair he asked me not to shoot the pheasants and I agreed not to. I like pheasant though and the one he saw hanging was just too tempting not to shoot. I need to ask the neighbouring farmer if I can shoot on his land. I'm practising most days now, trying to improve my group out to 50 meters. Not the easiest thing to do in prone, unsupported. I rolled up a sleeping mat to fasion a kinda light weight sand bag to see if that will help as a support that will give a bit with the recoil as the spring does its thing. I will try it tomorrow. What land do you shoot over? Room for another one?

With that attitude no wonder you got kicked off and giving the sport a BAD name it`s not the grouping you want to improve is it
Worcsman
With that attitude no wonder you got kicked off and giving the sport a BAD name it`s not the grouping you want to improve is it My crime was getting caught. The pheasant makes good grub for peasants as well as toffs. Given the same decision to make, I would do it again. The landlord dont breed or feed the pheasants, but his mates in tweeds from the fox hunt do. My conscience is clear, I only regret I missed the other one. But if you think I haver sullied the good name of your sport, you can obviously afford to not shoot the very tasty stuff wandering in front of your cross hairs. Anyway, I spoke with the landowner next door now and he has said I am free to take anything so long as he gets his share. Fair play to him! I can see I have made friends in the forum already
