dooseydog
Whereabouts in northern Italy are you going, I may be able to help too? we are pretty unplanned , as if we knew of good clubs / grounds would stay in that area , so anywhere above and possibly 50 km below a line drawn through Milan - great if you could help
PhilR
The Italians are very keen trap/ skeet shooters so you'll find more shooting grounds with those disciplines than anything else, Compak Sporting is often shot on a trap range too. Northern Italy is the home of their gunmaking industry and you'll find most of the manufacturers based in the Val Trompia area north of Brescia, which is east of Milan along the A4 autostrada. This is the website for Trap Concaverde, Lonato which is just off the A4 near Desenzano, Lake Garda. http://www.trapconcaverde.it This is the website for Cieli Aperti which is just off the A4 near Bergamo owned by Renato Lamera the well known trick shooter. http://www.cieliaperti.com/ This is the website for Ghedi again just south of the A4 between Bergamo and Desenzano. They shoot mainly Helice (ZZ) there. http://www.tiroavologhedi.com/ex.htm This is the website for San Fruttuosso, Castell Gofreddo which is south of Trap Concaverde, Lonato. http://www.tavsanfruttuoso.it/HomeTiro.aspx?IDtiro=22 The Italians call clay shooting 'tiro a volo' (TAV) so any signs with TAV on it will find shooting. Hope that helps.
