JackReady
Did Miroku ever make the MK38 or MK3800 as a 20 bore?
Gordon R
They made the MK60 and MK70 in 20 gauge.
JackReady
They made the MK60 and MK70 in 20 gauge. Thanks I was under the impression that the MK60 & 70 were fairly recent additions to the Miruko stable. Do you know when they were first produced? Windknot
Since '95 IIRC. I've never seen a Miroku competition gun in 20 gauge, nor have I seen a Miroku badged 16 gauge, even though they make these guns for Browning. In fact, I've seen Browning Ultra XS guns in 16 and 28 gauge for sale in the States.

What they produce for Browning is not necessarily transferred automatically into a Miroku product. The reason I ask is I have a M38 grade 5 that has been Teauged by Nigel some years ago and would like now to replicate it in a 20 bore. I'll perhaps look to see if I can find a Browning equivalent in 20 bore as that seems to be the only viable solution. Anyone know which of the Miroku produced Browning models is the closest match to the MK38?

JackReady
Looks to be a decent bit of wood on that Browning. I'd have it if only it was closer.

Not a lot of point having it closer to where you live, now is it in?

JackReady
RFD it then I had considered that option, but was unsure of the costs involved. Last time I checked with the PO it was stupid money to ship a shotgun with them.
Gordon R
Cost is about £25, which is peanuts compared to the cost of the gun itself. You might know which area of the country you live in, but other members don't, so it's just a little hard to recommend a gun near you. Shipping plus RFD handling charge works out at about 3-4% of the purchase price, 6-8% if its not up to snuff and you have to return it. I take your point re recommending guns. Which I appreciate Windknot doing. I'll keep an eye out for Browning XS's from now on.
