humperdingle
Anyone tried this stuff? I bought a bottle To try it out, and touched-up the F.U.D. Decoys with it... Haven't really noticed a difference to be honest. Mind you, there haven't been a great load of pigeons flying around my permissions recently. Next time I shoot a pigeon, i'm going to check the plumage under a UV light to see if the white markings on a real bird really do show up like the retailers of this paint say, then compare it alongside one of my decoys. Anybody tried this? Or is it just a gimmick?
Highlander
Like most things pigeon shooting there's stuff that'll work today that will fail tomorrow. I've seen guys with the crappiest old decoys laid out in some unbelievable patterns pull in loads of birds whilst someone with all the latest kit totally fails. Go figure. You can buy special washing powder for your clothes/kit that supposedly stops the birds seeing you (regular powder leaves some sort of visible (to birds) markings on stuff. You can buy all sorts of kit that may do what it says on the tin BUT then again may not. Mostly the stuff we buy makes us feel better, woody tends not to give a ****! Cranfield
I touched up the neck rings on my decoys with white UV paint and I can see them now from miles away, so the pigeons must be able to. There is no doubt that UV paint improve the look to the human eye.
