hamster123 Posted June 1, 2010 Report Share Posted June 1, 2010 right i have just got a new permission which i was quite pleased about v,so i had a walk about today with my 22 lr and my exclusive shotgun the escort its not that big and i soon relised there was only corn fields which there was nothing on... but there is about 6 of what i would call just long grass or grazing fields as there are about 100 cows they wernt in all the fields and a big bull which i came across i got out in a bit of a hurry.anyway the grass fields did have a lot of pigeons flying over head. would it be worth setting up and i mean deeks magnet etc just on this grass. Highlander Posted June 2, 2010 Report Share Posted June 2, 2010 You might have missed the best time to shoot on fields of clover but still worth a look only if there are cattle about forget it as you'll at best end up surrounded, at worse being trampled. Might be worth having a word with farmer as he may not want you shooting near his cattle. Dairy cattle might get stressed and milk production may go down, beef cattle could panic and damage stuff/themselves, breeders may well do you the worst damage especially if they have young.
