Crow decoying with an Owl

Hi

Has anyone tried using an owl to bring in the crows, any advice most welcome

lez on this forum got hold of an owl decoy and put some real feathers on it from a pheasant and had some luck with it, try a search

i saw that owl the other week on here it looked great!! owl deeks do work well but ive found you have to take the owl deek to

the crow hot spots early in the morning and build a very good hide even with a net over the top, them carrion crows are crafty.

shotgun is easier option shooting them mobbing the deek, but the draw back is the noise, rimfire works well if you can get a shot

off fast, plus you can set the decoy out a bit further out.

I've never had any luck with an owl decoy, and I have tried a little owl and also the eagle owl. However, I might try and attach feathers to it, just like Les, and see if that works

I have shot lots of Carrion Crows using this as a deek

I have got an owl decoy for the crows, It is a bit battered now but still works. They really mob it and you can even hear the 'thunk' as they hit it sometimes. (really trying to knack the poor little ******!)
