I have been talking for ages about building a rabbit pen and yesterday finally took the plunge!

 

The field hasnt been cut yet this year so first job was to take the strimmer and cut some rides so that i could put in the fence and posts.

 

 

 

 

Doesnt look like much yet but the next pics will give you an idea of the length of the grass.

 

Reaches the bonnet of the freelander.

 

 

 

And out of the window of the jeep.

 

 

Next job is to top the grass and the get the posts in. Followed but planting a few bits in the pen.

 

The size is roughly 40 x 40 m.

what sort of size is your pen chum? have you got much cover in it except long grass?

id say its of a similar size to your pen nothing fancy about our pen but big enough to do the job we want it for ,the cover is grass, dockins and we put a few piles of brashing in , we have dutch rabbits and a few rex rabbits in it
