roundy
Afternoon all, Bought my first gun on Saturday, it's a Parker Hale 30" O/U - really nice gun and not much cash - ideal to get started... Had my first shoot with it on Sunday and had a 25/50 shoot so not bad I hope?? Only shot once before on a friends gun there and got the same score... I am thinking of getting into game shooting as the other half lives on her family farm, and i am a country boy at heart! Whats the best way to get into game shooting - is it expensive? Depends on how much cash you have! Far too expensive for me, I can think of far better thins to do with my money, but all to their own. Pigeons are free and game can be devilish expensive >£25 a bird for pheasant.

Colster
For me you can't beat rough shooting, I love coming home with a variety of stuff (rabbit, pigeon, corvid, squirrel etc) that I went out and looked for, rather than standing about all day waiting for the villagers to flush some hapless bird into my waiting barrels... but then I grew up in a village so what do I know. roundy
Went out for a wander around the forest on my girlfriends farm, not much out but did manage to bag a grey squirell - my first live kill!! I am keen to try and have a go at pigeon shooting/decoying. Any good advice on how to get into it or anyone near me (Newbury area) that wouldn't perhaps mind showing me the ropes? Ya! If you can keep the horses clear you can decoy them on pasture
