Lez325
I have been looking at buying a Remmington 11-87 Premier as a hide gun- now its a fixed choke at SKEET- will this be too wide for hide shooting at woodies??? any thoughts would be welcomed Les
soreshoulder
i recently bought a side by side that is choked very openly in the first barrel but very tightly in the second. I have yet to kill anything with the first barrel but ive shot 3 crows so far with the second barrel so i reckon it might be too open
Lez325
Thats what I thinking with a skeet choked gun Les
MC
A skeet choke will be fine for anything up to about 35ish yards and probably more besides if you do your bit right. I very rarely shoot anything tighter than a 1/4 in any gun.
Lez325
Thank you for that - I going to give it a try on the clays prior to purchase Les
